Thailand Brass and Percussion Conference and Percussion Conference 2009!

The Thailand Brass and Percussion Conference will be an exciting four-day event featuring performances, masterclasses and clinics by international guest artists and the top professionals in the Bangkok area. There will also be exhibits by many area music merchants and international instrument manufacturers. The conference will have something for everyone: students will have opportunities to learn from the experts, teachers can attend clinics to refine their pedagogical techniques, and brass and percussion lovers of any age can enjoy the daily performances featuring the international guest artists, regional artists, and Mahidol faculty.

Beauty Basics - Eight Tips For Naturally Beautiful Hair

1. Avoid shampoos that contain sodium laurel sulfate, or sodium laureth sulfate. These chemicals are synthetic detergents that are used in dishwashing liquid and other cleansers. They are valued because they lather well, but they are very harsh, and can dry out your hair. Instead, look for shampoos made with decyl glucose, or decyl glucoside, which are much gentler. 3. Eat right and consider taking vitamin and mineral supplements to encourage healthy hair. Several vitamins and minerals have been shown to help hair growth and condition including biotin, vitamin E, vitamin B, vitamin C and MSM.

4. If you are an African American, or if you have extra curly hair, avoid brushing your hair. Use a wide toothed comb, or your fingers to work with your hair. Brushes can destroy African American or extra curly hair by shearing it out of the scalp.

5. Look for essential oils, herbs and vegetable oils in your hair care products. Essential oils such as rosemary, ylang-ylang and west indian bay help to stimulate hair growth. Lavender and tea tree and naturally antiseptic and help to fight dandruff. Vegetable oils such as soybean oil, safflower oil and corn oil are moisturizing and conditioning to the hair shaft.

6. Avoid sleeping in hair accessories such as barrettes, scrunchies, head bands, etc. This can lead to hair damage.

7. Massage your scalp to help stimulate hair growth. Massaging helps stimulate hair growth by increasing the blood flow to the scalp. This nourishes the hair roots and helps to stimulate the hair growth process.

8. If your hair ends are damaged, give yourself a trim every so often to remove damage.

My electric guitar :) WI66 PRO IDOL

I love my guitars so much!. It can expel my bored or sad things when I play them.

I have 2 guitars. Today,I want to review my electric guitar. This model is called WI66 IDOL of washburn's brand. I purchase it from internet. It made from Korea. I think so its cost is reasonably. It can widely play genre of songs. Pop, Jazz, Rock up to Metal.

This beauty has a tobacco burst carved maple top on a single cut mahogany body. It's a mahogany set neck with a rosewood fretboard. Tune-O-Matic style bridge, Grover 18:1 tuners. Has a 3-way pickup selector switch, two volume knobs and two Voice Contour Control knobs, all giving you control over a Seymour Duncan '59 at the neck and a Seymour Duncan Custom Custom at the bridge. The VCC allows you to get single coil-type sounds out of both pickups. It also has the Buzz Feiten Tuning System. The overall appearance of this guitar is truly striking!

While I really admire what Washburn have tried to achieve with the Voice Contour Control,I think that what they give you with one hand they take away with the other. It's a compromise. The VCC single coil sound is quite convincing and useful on the neck pup and, unlike a traditional true coil tapped single coil sound,is utterly void of hum. However,the ability to blend the humbucker and single coil sounds is a bit pointless in my opinion. At around 5 both pickups get muddy,lose definition and tone. The VCC works best on the bridge pickups and you can get some very stratty/telecasteresque single coil sounds. My main gripe though is that the volume controls are a complete bag of shit. You can't use these to clean up an overdriven amp sound because they only give you all or nothing...a pathetic oversight on Washburn's part. Turn them below 10 and your volume barely drops and your treble is sucked out. The volume is only affected between 0 and 1,but by this stage you have zero treble or tone left and your guitar just quacks. Why do Washburn make all that effort in their quality control and pack all of these features in, only to not even bother to put the correct kind of volume pots in without a couple of capacitors to counteract the treble bleed?! This is POOR but easily rectified. The pots and switch are quite cheap, so I would suggest installing a decent Switchcraft pickup selector switch and four good quality pots. I'm going to wire it back up with a more conventional push/pull volume pot setup for for true coil tapping,together with some tone pots,thus removing the VCC altogether. VCC isn't available on the high-end Idol Series guitars, so why did they choose to fit it on the upper mid to low end of the range?

In full humbucker mode on the bridge the WI66 Pro seriously nails rock and metal. Bags of mids with tons of growl and bite,great feedback and sustain and awesome note definition. You can hear every single note ring out,no matter how much gain you're using. It's a little bright,and with the absence of a tone control you can compensate for this in your amp's EQ settings. The neck pickup does grunge,rock and blues superbly.

Work practice in summer 2009

In summer 2009, Faculty of Engineering Mahidol University must sent cover letter to a lot of company. The letters were signed in company letter. It is an important subject in course outline. The year 3 students must taste to worked in company. We have been sent to company. We worked realistic. We chose likely company. I prefer chose EGAT. Because, EGAT is prime generator in Thailand and I want to improve my electrical skills.

Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) was established on May 1, 1969. EGAT brand vision is “To be the very best at helping people enjoy an easier and better everyday life that will bring happiness and success”. EGAT use gas, lignite, steam, water, and air to generate electric energy. EGAT do not only generator. But, EGAT have buy and sell. EGAT have purchase electric energy from private power company or neighboring countries. The nieghborhood is such as Malaysia. They transmitted by DC lines. Because, They avoid different frequency. EGAT is a stake in the economic and social. EGAT control electric energy for enough consumer in Thailand. EGAT transmit electric energy to the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA), the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA). Then, They transmit electric energy to minor consumer. EGAT have more power plants such as Wang Noi Power Plant, South Bangkok Power Plant, Bang Pakong Power Plant, Nam Phong Power Plant and other plants where are spare. I signed in central EGAT. It locates at 53 Moo 2 Charunsanitwong Road, Bang Kruai, Nonthaburi 11130 Thailand. This EGAT have a power plant. It calls North Bangkok Power Plant. At the past, It is lignite power plant. Now, It is underconstruction. It will be combine cycle. It uses heat and steam turbine. I had work practice here. Because, I considered to visit new power plant from the beginning.

I must got up at 5 A.M. . I am not used to getting up in the dawn. In first day, I get up late at 5.45 A.M. . I quickly shower and dress. Then, I run as fast as I can. I in time take a organisational bus at 6.00 A.M. . In another day, I early got up. Because, I early go to bed and I do not want to be confused. This company is start working at 8.00 A.M.. At 12.00 P.M. is time to break. Then, We finished working at 4.00 P.M. .

I worked in Department of Protective Relay. The Department of Protective Relay contain 6 personnel in two sections. The first is engineering. The second is technical. They separate 2 teams. They include 1 engineer and 2 technicians in one team. This department is sloved a problem with high volatage electrical protection. I have a supervisor to take care me. His name is Pronchai Poonnak. He is an engineer. He is a chief of Protective Relay. He have a lot of electrical skills about protective. He suggest the idea to me. He answer me everything what I am interested. I trained calibrated, fixed, and analyzed skills by him. My responsibility are electrical analysis such as how to protect busbars and lines from overload current or ground fault. It is very important. Because, It causes an error of all electrical substation. It is mean that will cut off electric energy. The other one is fixed and calibrated testing tools. I calibrated Fluke multimeter with power supply. I fixed some Fluke multimeter that was dead screen. I repaired some relays . I have a semi project. It is changing display screen of digital relays. The old display is gas. It unclear watches when using it long time. Then, We would rather changed it with LED Display. Someday, we have seminar and trained by expert.

Finally, I have learned behaved in work. I have learned a lot of electrical skills. It was different in some theory. Necessary, I am familiar with new good friends.
